The Auri Project is developing a non-extractive approach to hydrogen production — replicating, above ground, the natural rock–water chemistry that produces hydrogen deep within the Earth. We are asking a simple question: can hydrogen be produced without drilling into the planet's subsurface systems, and without the energy cost of electrolysis?

Where we are This is early-stage research. The underlying chemistry is grounded in established serpentinisation science. The engineering — the reactor, the process control, the yield — has not yet been validated at bench scale. We are transparent about that distinction because it matters.
